The Kurviger app gets suddenly killed or frozen on my Huawei / Honor device

Huawei / Honor introduced a so called battery optimization technique, where apps in the background can get killed or frozen in the background to “reduce battery usage”. This is a known Huawei / Honor problem especially if you don't want a certain app to be killed or frozen, see for example here. You can try to protect the Kurviger app by “protecting” it. Go to Settings, Advanced settings, Battery manager, Protected apps and protect the Kurviger app. However, we received reports that some devices might still kill the app, even though it is protected. If you find other ways of improving this behavior, please let us know.
